The experienced lawyers at the San Diego law firm of Wilkinson & Finkbeiner, LLP, provide partner-level representation in a professional and friendly environment. Our attorneys will take the time to listen to your legal issues and explain your options to you in plain English.
Our lawyers are active in the community and active in the state and local bar associations. They are skilled negotiators for family law matters including divorce, child custody, post-judgment, and support matters. Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. Finkbeiner are also experienced estate and business planners although the firm no longer focuses on those practice areas. All of our attorneys are zealous advocates in family court if there is a necessity to litigate, although our firm prides itself on achieving favorable results outside of the courtroom through negotiation. In some cases, however, it is impossible to negotiate a settlement because the other side, or his or her attorney, may preclude such a result. In the event litigation is necessary, all of our attorneys have extensive experience practicing in every department of the superior court, including acting as lead counsel for hearings involving testimony of witnesses, arguing law and motion issues, and dealing with Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) in the Family Support Division.

About the Attorneys
David Wilkinson and Scott Finkbeiner are Certified Family Specialists through the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. A Certified Family Law Specialist must pass an extensive written examination in the subject area, be approved by a peer review process and show proficiency in this area by demonstrating experience handling a sufficient number of family law cases with varying degrees of complexity.
